NEAUA offers an annual resident training and simulation course at the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI) in Hartford, Connecticut. This course provides residents from all training programs in New England with hands-on simulation experience in emergency/trauma training, clinical scenarios, adrenal insufficiency, FLS, robotics, open surgery, laser training, ultrasound, BPH, stones, prosthetics, and microsurgery. Trainees are also exposed to state of the art equipment thanks to support from the Section’s industry partners, and top tier training from Section faculty members who generously dedicate their time to making this program a success.

2026 Programs

NEAUA hosted its 4th Training and Simulation Course at the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation in Hartford, Connecticut in late March 2026. All regional residency programs were represented, an incredible faculty team facilitated sessions over this immersive, 2-day course, and industry partners were generous with their support through product donation and exhibition. This year the Section debuted an APP track at the Course which was quickly filled by 36 advanced providers (with a wait list!). Feedback from residents, APPs, faculty and industry partners indicates the 2026 Training and Sim Course was an incredible success.
