The New England Section FUTURE (Future Urology Talent from Under-Represented Entities) in Urology Mentorship Program is designed to expose and engage rising 2nd and 3rd year MD and DO medical students from diverse backgrounds in the field of Urology with the ultimate aim of developing a diverse pipeline of future urologists. The program provides opportunities for students to 1) network with peer students, residents, and practicing urologists; 2) be exposed to urologic research and clinical practice presentations; 3) develop a meaningful mentorship relationship; and 4) cultivate an interest in Urology. The program is facilitated during the Section’s Annual Meeting.

The 2024 FUTURE in Urology Mentorship Program provided mentorship to 10 medical students with at least one student from each state in New England. Thank you to Boston Scientific for its support of the FUTURE in Urology program in 2024!
